This course introduces students to the importance of communication, its objectives and meanings. The types, models, process and components of communication will be studied as well as its perception. Students will get a chance to learn about the systems and impact of mass communication and analyze the types of communication existent in today’s world.

This course introduces students to basic elements and techniques of news reporting for different media as well as the ethics of news reporters.

This course introduces students to different types of mass media, including print, electronic and other modern forms of mass media as well as explores the development of the mass media in Thai and international, social and historical contexts. The goal of this course is to equip students with marketing communication skills necessary for today’s global marketplace. Market and product consumption trends will be explored as well as principles and methods used by global marketers to promote their brands. This course emphasizes the creation and effective management of brands with a focus on brand equity. Both global brands and Thai brands will be investigated. Cases will be used to explore how brands have created equity in the Thai market and in other regions of Asia. Students will be exposed to academic journals, current publications, and online material to study promotional tactics being used as a part of integrated marketing communication.

The process and procedure in campaign planning for business, social, political, other purposes will be discussed as well as the psychological factors related to change of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of target audiences. Students will utilize strategic planning analysis of situations to create work for each type of communication. Media analysis in campaign management will be taught as well as types of motivation, impact control, setting priorities of target groups, and fund raising for a communication campaign.
