"The term ‘communication management’ is more appropriate when we want to refer to communication in a broader sense. […] Communicators who study how to improve and bring about better results of communication may have to look at many different tools. Print media was widely used before electronic media came into almost every home in the 20" century. Now the internet rapidly invades households around the world. With the invention of new technological gadgets, news and information are sent to us through internet and [mobile] phones and who knows what else in the near future. Management, although not the core essentials of the work, plays many important roles in the lives of communication professionals. Successful work in communication relies on the expertise of sound management."

After a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are excited to resume our annual study trip abroad for third-year BCM students. This year the students were divided into three groups, led by Associate Professor Pavel Slutskiy, Ph.D., Worapron Worawongs Chanthapan, Ph.D. and Nicolas Verstappen, who brought them to visit the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Department of Communications and New Media (CNM) and the Department of Japanese Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to all faculty members and staff both from our university and from NUS who helped support this project.
